Workshop: Borders Galore

Is making a wonderful borders quilt on your bucket list? Winnie Fleming is the best teacher you could hope to have for this type of challenge. Thanks to her tips and tricks, Winnie makes it easy to create something that looks so complex. This two-day workshop is the perfect class for learning how to make a borders quilt.
On day 1 you will arrive with a center medallion plus pieces cut for the next 3 borders. The medallion will be put on-point, and off you’ll go adding the borders. This involves learning a formula for ensuring your chosen border pattern will fit correctly around your medallion, among other tips and guidelines.
On day 2 Winnie will cover mitering and a floater border in addition to other piecing tips. You’ll make four borders in this phase, for a quilt which will ultimately measure roughly 68” x 68”.
