Hi! I’m Tina Craig. I started quilting in 1990 as an unemployed newlywed looking for something to do. I took a beginner sampler quilt class at Colchester Mill Fabric Store and haven’t stopped stitching yet. I try to challenge myself to learn something new with every quilt.
When we moved to a seaside town in southern Rhode Island in 1997, Seaside Stitches was born. Back then, I was making and selling hundreds of paper-pieced quilt block lapel pins. Now, I prefer to teach you how to make your own!
I specialize in precision piecing (foundation paper piecing and English paper piecing) and domestic machine quilting. I enjoy learning new techniques and have even stepped out of my comfort zone to try art quilting.
I love traveling to quilt guilds, but will continue to be available on Zoom. My trunk shows are engaging and fun. Every quilt I show has a story to tell. Most of my workshops are technique-based, so students leave with knowledge that translates to many future projects.
