Simply Abstract Landscapes

This is the same process used for the background of Ragged and Real. We build a landscape just with strips and leave it at that. Sunsets, fields, water views. It is almost too easy, yet so satisfying. We’ll talk about what abstract is and how to think abstractly and about the compositional components of a successful design. Expand your creativity with no quilting rules or rulers. It will be easy! The landscape is built with strips of fabric collaged and fused to a background, then straight stich quilted. No free motion involved. Machine required. Finishing options will be discussed. Beginners welcome.
