Making Quilts that Incorporate Vintage Pieces
Dot was still working at her day-job as a petrochemist in 1985 when she became a member of this guild. She loved the guild activities and community so much that she never missed a night meeting for that first two and a half years. In 1986, having developed her own patterns and techniques, she began to teach, and she hasn’t slowed down since.. Dot is known for her many unique patterns, designs, and techniques, particularly for innovating the most efficient way to get to her desired result. In this talk she’ll show how she has merged her love of beautiful vintage textiles and embroidery with the classic quilt blocks.
