DESCRIPTION:Borders Bonanza \n\n\n\nWinnie will identify and talk about all the different types of quilt  borders.  The program is a great big show and tell of about 35-40 quilts ranging from simple to intricate borders.  You will also see many quilts with multiple pieced  borders like medallion quilts and Round Robin quilts.  Don’t forget to bring your camera!!! \n\n\n\nAbout Winnie:  \n\n\n\nWinnie has been quilting for over 40 years and teaching more than 35 years. She is a quilt book author\, quilt judge\, Craftsy Instructor\, quilt\, teacher/lecture\, and pattern designer. Quilting is her passion….. and therapy. Winnie loves scrap quilts and quilts that have a lot of piecing\, which led her to Pieced borders. She is always trying to break down and simplify a piecing technique. Winnie loves teaching and visiting guilds with her programs and workshops and loves teaching at retreats. \n\n\n\n\n\nWinnie’s Website

SUMMARY:Workshop: Borders Galore
DESCRIPTION:Is making a wonderful borders quilt on your bucket list? Winnie Fleming is the best teacher you could hope to have for this type of challenge. Thanks to her tips and tricks\, Winnie makes it easy to create something that looks so complex. This two-day workshop is the perfect class for learning how to make a borders quilt. \n\n\n\nOn day 1 you will arrive with a center medallion plus pieces cut for the next 3 borders. The medallion will be put on-point\, and off you’ll go adding the borders. This involves learning a formula for ensuring your chosen border pattern will fit correctly around your medallion\, among other tips and guidelines. \n\n\n\nOn day 2 Winnie will cover mitering and a floater border in addition to other piecing tips.
