DESCRIPTION:The Root Connection: My Journey as a Quilter \n\n\n\nA graphic designer in her native India\, Sujata always loved color\, pattern and textures. As a young bride in the 1960s America\, her delight in these lay dormant until discovering quilting in the 1990s. She is now known for both her hand-quilted Kawandi works as well as her award-winning free form quilt designs in bright colors. Her book\, Cultural Fusion Quilts\, sets out many of her joyful patterns which reflect the influences of many cultures.
